Grizzlies sweep RMAC Outdoor titles

GUNNISON, Colo.— The Adams State College women’s track and field team won a fifth straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship while the Grizzly men won their second straight, but the first on arch-rival Western State College’s soil since 1997, at the 2008 RMAC Championships that wrapped up Tuesday here at the Mountaineer Bowl....

Gibson’s two wins lead Grizzly men to RMAC lead

GUNNISON, Colo.— Junior Josh Gibson (Riverside, Calif.) broke his own school record while matching a 25-year old Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship record in the long jump before coming back to win the high jump as he led the Adams State College men’s track and field team into the lead after Monday, the second day of the RMAC Championships, that will run through Tuesday here at Western State College’s Mountaineer Bowl....

Grizzly women win three events to be in position for RMAC title

GUNNISON, Colo.— Winning efforts by senior Michelle Nelson (Albuquerque, N.M.) and sophomore Amanda Gylling (La Jara, Colo.) in the field and another from Ashley Quintana (Pecos, N.M.) on the track have put the Adams State College Grizzlies in strong position for a fifth straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Title as they earned a total of 12 spots in Tuesday’s finals of the sprints while scoring 56 team points in the first seven completed events of the 2008 RMAC Championships, here in Western State College’s Mountaineer Bowl....

GOLDEN, Colo.— After picking up two more elimination bracket wins on Saturday, the Adams State College softball team continued a fine post-season run with a 14-8 win over the University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers to advance to the Championship Game of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament....
